World Outreach Christian Ministries is a registered ministry in Kenya. The founder, Apostle Philemon, got a calling from God to start a ministry and therefore attended theology school at East African School of Theology and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2005. He then proceeded to begin the ministry in August, the same year.
Fellowship began in Nairobi’s arboretum, which is now under the management of The Kenya Forest Service. He would meet there with a few believers every Sunday to share the Word of God. As time passed by, the ministry moved to a small garage in the Kwa Njenga area close to where Apostle Philemon resided with his family.
Two years later the church moved a few blocks closer to North Airport Road and built a temporary establishment. Here the church grew in numbers from just a few members to around fifty members. It is in this venue that the church made strides in training people in the Word of God and also impacting the community. For ten years the surrounding neighborhood felt the presence of the love of God and also the advantage of having a praying people.
The church then moved to the present venue at the close of the year 2018. In the past three years, we have seen the faithfulness of the LORD as He has enabled us to reach even more people and touch more lives. The church is now focusing on discipling the members into mature Christians by sharing the true Word of God, the correct doctrine, and edifying teachings. We have dedicated pastors whose agenda is to impart leadership qualities to the members. We are on a mission to change lives. Not just in Kobil, or Kwa Njenga, or Nairobi, or Kenya, but in the entire world.
